A Centenary Heritage
Walking through Quinta do Serrado is like traveling back in time. With roots dating back to 1751, our property is proud of its historic Chapel of Our Lady of Nazaré, built by Maria do Rosário Henriques. What was once known locally as ‘Serrado Galego’ has been carefully preserved for generations by the same family. Today, we open the doors to this heritage, keeping alive the authenticity and genuine hospitality of the old Madeiran farms.

The inauguration of Quinta do Serrado represents a high-quality private investment in Madeira, deeply valuing the heritage, identity, and tourist offering of the region. This careful recovery includes not only the historic Chapel of Our Lady of Nazaré but also the planting of a new vineyard featuring the traditional Terrantez grape variety. Our Terrantez Vineyards
At Quinta do Serrado, the connection to the land is a vital part of our heritage. Located on the beautiful south coast of Madeira Island, in Câmara de Lobos, our estate is home to a very special vineyard dedicated to the rare and exquisite Terrantez grape variety.
As Engineer Francisco proudly explains during our harvest season, these beautiful bunches of Terrantez are carefully handpicked to produce exclusive Frasqueira or vintage wines. Staying with us means being immersed in this authentic agricultural tradition, where you can witness the passion and dedication that goes into every single grape.
